Mine works ok using iijppp. If you're using iijppp let us have a look at
your ppp.conf file. (change your username and password of course :-) )
I had to use a chat script to log in before it switched to ppp. (which I
mostly copied from someone else)
also have a look at http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/ppp/ppp.html
"The Pedantic PPP Primer". It's very helpful.
