          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any

          Severity: Affects Only Me

Hi there,

Since OpenLDAP 2.4 seems to be more or less deprecated/not supported by
upstream (https://www.openldap.org/software/download/) I would like an
ldap-version flag to be added to default-versions.mk so that users can prep=
are
moving to a newer OpenLDAP version (2.5 which is LTS, or 2.6 which is Featu=
re
release afaik).

Saw a suggestion from about a year ago here
https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/openldap-dependency-with-powerdns.82456/

Currently ports are hardcoded to use 2.4 in /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.ldap.mk which
makes it harder to try and migrate to a newer OpenLDAP version.
