I just returned from a relaxing week's holidays to find my FreeBSD 2.1 system's response to networking functions slowed to a crawl. Pinging to the system works fine, but FTP, telnet, NCSA httpd 1.5, etc. take minutes to respond, regardless of whether I use DNS name or numeric IP address. 'arp' also takes minutes to respond. I have checked the ethernet interface with it's diagnostic tools and it seems ok. Nothing on the system was changed while I was away. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong? Thanks in advance... Neil
