Maybe teac knows about it and doesn`t want to solve this kind of issues (no old drive support :( ). But why is hw.ata.atapi_dma unusable? If I set it at startup to 0, it means that I don`t want an DMA for atapi interface... but it`s always enabled. I tried booting SLAX and it goes well from my cdrom. Windows performs well too.
