The developers appear to be aware of the issue: http://www.eggheads.org/news/2011/05/25/39 and recommend using the -devel version, which is not yet in the Ports Collection. The attached patch marks irc/eggdrop as IGNORE if WITH_SSL is defined, and the system is amd64. >How-To-Repeat: Install irc/eggdrop on a 64-bit machine, and configure a bot to connect to an SSL-enabled server. >Fix: A workaround is to build irc/eggdrop in a i386 chroot environment.
