By default system and players uses /dev/dsp0 which is in your case connected to your HDMI output now as it was detected first. Try to set hw.snd.default_unit sysctl to 0 (default), 1, 2 and 3 and play something. > With the old kernel it just works. Old kernel just was unable to support even a half of that what new one can.
