Well, I got a large patch from John for his thread package and it also needed a simple patch to pthread_cond_wait to not timeout on a wait. Other then that, I am happy using threads over here just started porting ILU to FreeBSD and its been a lot of fun . ILU can use threads -- it is a configuration option.
