Everything is working fine except one thing: when I telnet or ftp to the other LAN boxes, it looks the DNS first. I am positive that I have the /etc/hosts file set right and /etc/host.conf in the right order -- hosts first then bind. When I ping or ssh , it is right -- it does refer the /etc/hosts file. But not telnet and ftp. ANy ideas? -- Chen Xu xuchen66@yahoo.com, xuc@saturn.med.nyu.edu 144-17, 38 Ave., #1 | Home: (718) 321-2030 Flushing, NY 11354 | Work: (212) 263-7099 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
