https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=201500 Bug ID: 201500 Summary: devel/llvm*: Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Many People Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: list1@gjunka.com The port installs without links to default names to binaries, see: http://llvm.org/docs/CommandGuide/ This breaks applications that rely on default names, e.g. LLVM HIPE compiler for Erlang: https://github.com/erlang/otp/blob/OTP-18.0.2/lib/hipe/main/hipe.erl#L1533 I understand that having the version in binaries' names allows to installs multiple versions at the same time. But it should be possible to install one of those versions as the default version, with the names of its binaries free from any non-standard suffixes.
