Hello,

New kernel of NAS4Free for ODROID-C1 is released.
It includes new USB driver v1.2 which improves writing performance from around 6MB/s to 24MB/s.
So it's 4x faster than first version! (previous patched version; 1.5x from 16MB/s to 24MB/s)
The driver source diff will be posted at next mail.

This time, I've uploaded new kernel only. So you need previous base image for testing.
Current version of NAS4Free image for ODROID-C1 is:
http://www.peach.ne.jp/archives/nas4free/test/NAS4Free-oc1-SD-9.3.0.2.1353-20150306.img.gz
New kernel included USB driver v1.2 is:
http://www.peach.ne.jp/archives/nas4free/kernel/kernel-oc1-20150321

How to update new kernel:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You need re-mount boot fs because NAS4Free use read-only by default.
You can process this from Console Menu 6) Shell or using SSH login.

1. re-mount boot fs as writable.
    # mount -uw /cf

2. backup old kernel.
    # cd /cf/boot/kernel
    # mv kernel kernel.bak

3. download kernel to /cf/boot/kernel directory.
    # fetch -o kernel http://www.peach.ne.jp/archives/nas4free/kernel/kernel-oc1-20150321

4. flush writing and back to read-only
    # cd /
    # umount /cf
    # mount /cf

5. reboot the server.
    # shutdown -r now

Now you can get shares of 16MB/s reading and 24MB/s writing on NAS4Free for ODROID-C1!
