There exists a module called pam_mysql on www.mysql.com, which doesn't list the author's name/email. It's build for linux -- I wonder if someone has used this on FreeBSD (ported, etc). I'm working on Cyrus -- and it seems the route of least resistance with Cyrus 1.6.x is to use PAM with SASL. Though it's not immediately clear as to how to get this all to work together (the docs for Cyrus aren't that great). Pointers appreciated....
