"Chipset: nVidia nForce2 / MCP-T" includes Firewire & Ethernet MACs (NICs) in some versions. Sorry, I don't know which (if any) driver exists for Nvidia's Ethernet. :-( It is not listed in FreeBSD's release notes: http://www.freebsd.org/releases/4.8R/hardware-i386.html#ETHERNET Tony
