Support for your chipset was added at the end of March, so it definitely should be in 6.8.99.5: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2827 Try the radeon driver. You may get the same results as the ati driver (I think ati is a generic name that gets you radeon, r128, etc.), but radeon is the correct choice. If it doesn't work you should file a bug. I'm not sure how to fix your VESA problem... -- Jonathan Noack | noackjr@alumni.rice.edu | OpenPGP: 0x991D8195 --------------enigA514610C9B277565E2779A04 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFCfFRPUFz01pkdgZURAv3bAJ48d3wH3X0PooU57sRxk4iyFD4c4gCgxz0u oFYHIvm2SBUL0wT151g6bIk= =dZOb -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enigA514610C9B277565E2779A04--
