oh god#T&*!&@#*&@! no, dont do that. Make another user, and put him in the group 'wheel' in /etc/group like wheel:*:0:root,telnetd And use ssh, Not telnet, if possible. If you seriusly are totally transfixed on letting root login remotley then edit /etc/ttys and add "secure" to the ttys allowed to have root login via them... On Tue, 27 Jul 1999, V.
