They only configuration I have done is put my username, password, and isp
phone# in the proper fields in the ppp.config file in /ect/ppp. nothing
else - yet it connects and Netscapes works. it surfs quite fast.

right now I su to root and ppp, papchat, and that's it. Is there a way i
would not have to be root to establish a ppp? do you recommend a script that
non-roots can execute 0r is there a better standard way?

thanks

 - i am still amazed that only 3 parameters were needed to connect - i can't
believe my connection is optimized - but it surfs faster than my microsoft
box as it is!
