Hi, I've been told by informed sources that your problem might be related to Font AntiAliasing. This info come from Lauri Watts from the FreeBSD KDE Team. > Somehow, if I launch konsole at any time during my WM session (I use > FluxBox), my DRI will fail if I close my WM and re-launch it (without > rebooting). > > This is the error I get: > (EE) MGA(0): [drm] DRIScreenInit failed. Disabling DRI. Both DRI and Xft use X RENDER extension. Konsole has had some problems currently with fonts. [snip] > So the question is: What is konsole doing that is causing my DRI to > fail? How do I fix it? Is there a way to fix it "on the fly" without > rebooting? [snip] Try using another font in konsole, *not* a vector font, pick something like lucida console or neep. Furthermore, I was told that you should try running 'fc-cache -fv' a few times too. I apologize but I cannot be of much help here. :( Regards, -- Mario S F Ferreira - DF - Brazil - "I guess this is a signature."
