Hi All, First and foremost thanks to all who lend a helping hand. Allways very much appreciated. And of course the FreeBSD team! I guess I found out what lay at the heart of my trouble. After returning to the office from my leisurely drive, which btw had the exact same problem, and having enjoyed a good meal and stuff, I toyed around a bit. Since it was very weird that everybody but me reported successes... First I went to to the /usr/src/sys/modules/linux dir to test a make. That worked. OK, one down, one to go. Sure I could now probably build the d'd thing, but... I had this webpage on screen showing both procedures to build a kernel. The traditional way which I use and the "new" way, which I've only used once if at that. So... picked a box other than the one above and made buildkernel the new-fangled way. Guess what? Yep: donar:/usr/src# make buildkernel KERNCONF=NISSER ... -------------------------------------------------------------- >>> Kernel build for NISSER completed on Wed Jul 10 23:09:12 CEST 2002 -------------------------------------------------------------- So there you have it. A bug, send-pr performed.
