Make an entry in /etc/aliases pointing the old name to the new: oldname: newname@newmachine Appending .REDIRECT to the domain name will cause sendmail to send the sender a message telling him/her about the change. 2. Drop a .forward file in the user's home directory with a list of email addresses to forward to, one per line.
