To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Date: Fri, 4 Oct 1996 21:22:31 +0200 (GMT+0200) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4ME+ PL15 (25)] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Does the Accton 1208 PCI network card work under Freebsd ? It is suposed to be NE2000 compatible (PCI NE2000 ??). It finds my card when I config my kernel to use it as a ed0 interface, it reports the ethernet number at boottime: `ed0 at 0x6100-0x611f irq 10 on isa` `ed0: address 00:00:e8:d5:dc:cc, type NE2000 (16 bit)` When it looks for devices on the PCI bus it says: `pci0:18: vendor=0x10ec, device=0x8029, class=network (ethernet)` `[no driver assigned]` The irq should be right (acording to the dos-setup that comes with the card). Then when ifconfig starts it says: `ed0: device timeout` Please help me to fix this problem. /Max -- Max Nilsson E-mail: max@ludd.luth.se -- -- Professorsvägen 11 Tele: +46-(0)920-98096 -- -- 977 51 Luleå -- -- Sweden --
