All of the problems I am describing prevent bootup. I have the 3ware controller splitting the array into two LUNS. I can't configure it except to tell it to split on the 2TB boundary, so I end up with the large disk as the first device, when I'd rather put the OS and everything on a smaller disk. And from what I'm guessing (with no useful information from the boot2 prompt) I won't be able to boot from the second disk, probably because it's created by the twa device driver which doesn't exist yet.
