I don't recall having to do anything special. ACPI was enabled. I didn't use sysinstall on 6.1 to set up the machines, but I am reasonably sure that I did boot a 6.1 CD into the fixit shell. Do you have the iLO remote console enabled? I never did get that to work properly beyond the boot loader ... (I can no longer get to the machine to check settings.)
