The Thinkpad G40 is on sale at IBM.com for a web-price of $724. In the past I've had no trouble getting FreeBSD to run smoothly on these machines (T22 w/ Savage Video Chipset). From what I can recall about the newer models, or those using the RADEON chipset (I'm assuming you'll be needing X11), it is required that you comment out "device agp" in the kernel (ie. the R40), and recompile. The G40 however uses an Intel chipset for video and may work out-of-the-box. Just my 2c. http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=8663953&storeId=1&langId=-1&categoryId=2580117&dualCurrId=73&catalogId=-840 -Doug On Monday 22 December 2003 13:54, Bill Moran wrote: > We're looking to get a laptop for the business.
