Since FreeBSD 6.0, the creation of device nodes is still possible, but they don't work anymore. All device nodes in /dev directly reference the device structures in the kernel. Device nodes that reside outside devfs are not, making the `nodev' mount option obsolete. --=20 Ed Schouten WWW: http://g-rave.nl/ --nhAUiXSLan16V5i8 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQFF5sdx52SDGA2eCwURAsDUAJ0cdc9ATJDkXQvB09dYk3dCUFN6GgCZAbwD G+NGMScOFy9gnVJSEtaKmKo= =Sw9S -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nhAUiXSLan16V5i8--
