Hello! Well, several people have taken part in discussion concerning the use Berkeley DB other than the one in libc, but the discussion has produced no result so far. I am still stuck with 1.85 and cannot make DB_File use 3.x or 2.x in any way. I always thought that BDB is one of the basic subsystems and there must be a way to upgrade it. Maybe the developers should include 3.x instead of 1.85 in libc, or maybe there is a way to make DB_File.pm use something other than the one in libc. Anyway, I am sure many people will sooner or later run into this problem and the sooner the better. So, could someone more proficient in UNIX C development try to compile DB_File CPAN module and see he/she can make it use 3.x Thanks, Artem To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
