    I like the idea of an ARCH flag, but anybody who actually uses it with
    current GCC's must love pain!  I just don't bother any more.  The most
    I'll ever use is -Os to generate smaller binaries but even that has broken
    on me.  So now I just use -O and wipe my hands of the whole thing.
