We have differing realities. Since the releases are rolled as tags on the releng_4 branch, how is 4.x supposed to progress? If you really a more conservative branch for some commercial reason, then I might suggest operating a separate (p4?) repo, importing releng_4_3 and merging from stable as desired. The license lets you do that, after all. No-one should think "make world && shutdown -r now" to be a reliable update procedure.
