It must be misconfigured. = Here=20 are some thing you may want to try. 1. Does this file home/jfreeze/.Xauthority exist? try removing it. 2. Try to go and recompile install wrapper from ports. (make deinstall &&= =20 make clean && make && make install) 3. Can root start the window manager? Can a user in wheel group? 4. Capture the outptut when you start X and send it here.
