I am not a big fan of rcsubr but every one else likes it lol I thinkhow it is done is 1. modify rc.conf ( add program_enable="YES" ) 2. then run /usr/local/etc/rc.d/program.sh start 3. done, with none of that nasty rebooting too. rebooting is for wimps ;)
