Both are running 4.7. One runs RAIDFrame for RAID 1 and the other runs vinum for RAID 1. Both work. I even managed to get RAIDFrame to boot and mirror the root filesystem (I stored a kernel on alternate boot media). It was significant pain, though, and I hope that GEOM makes much of the pain go away in 5.0. I'm waiting for 5.0 to release before trying to do RAIDFrame in the 5.X series. Especially since Scott Long is *WAY* too overloaded right now with the 5.0 release to respond to anything about RAIDFrame. I prefer RAIDFrame because its goals (RAID Framework) are smaller in scope than vinum (full volume manager mechanisms). YMMV. -a To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-fs" in the body of the message
