I have applied the following patch after I run configure using the following: # ./configure # patch <nut-0.42.0.patch # make # make install # make install-cgi Then I edited the etc stuff and ran: # /usr/local/ups/bin/apcsmart /dev/cuaa0 and I now got: Network UPS Tools - APC Smart protocol driver 0.20 (0.42.0) Unable to open (1) /dev/cuaa0: Permission denied I just did a default configure, do I need to specify gid and uid? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance. Chris On Tue, 2 Nov 1999, Lowkrantz, Goran wrote: > Hi Chris, > > I found that this was due to a second attempt to lock the the port.
