Hi,

A little while I offered to help out with the port of fphone to 
FreeBSD, since then I have not heard a single word as to what
exactly are the issues that your group could possibly be having
in porting fphone;specially, if there is a linux version available
and both FreeBSD and Linux share the same sound driver.
