I'm running FreeBSD 6.2 release and Gnome 2.16.3. Whenever I enable hald in my rc.conf I get system crashes and nothing is logged in the messages neither core dumbs. It usually happens when surfing the net with Firefox. The system freezes for 3-4 sec. and the reboots. It has also happened without using Firefox so I don't think it is related. May I mention that X-org and gnome is build from ports. The system is an intel Core 2 duo with 2 gigs of ram. I'm also using the latest nvidia driver. Any help much appreciated.
