This is how most X things work. Because it is a toolkit, I suspect you will have to unpack the Motif into an existing build tree for X11. You will probably find some revision incompatabilities between X and Motif if you use the X11R6 build tree instead of X11R5. Oh, and FreeBSD 2.0 does not have rights to the UNIX trademark.
