For the tests I used ftp.sun.com and www.sun.com (which are both up now)
All tests worked identically using the IP address and the domain name. Here
are the results, hope this helps!:
~ping~
Ping of sun.com/192.18.97.241

9 packets transmitted, 8 packets received, 11% packet loss

~traceroute~
[user@sivar:/root] traceroute -n 192.18.97.241

Attached is my rc.conf and kernel configuration file. Sorry about the .zip,
compressed it in Windows.
Any suggestions would be very helpful The system isn't tweaked anough that I
can't reasonably just re-install, but that's a tactic that I use with
Windows, not BSD--and besides, I want to know what's wrong so that I can fix
it if I ever see the problem again!
