Hello again! To begin I want to thank all of the people who have helped
me so far, there have been quite a few :) The reply time was EXCELLENT
and all of the suggestions worked PERFECTLY. Great job!
Question 1:
I seem to be having problems getting tcpdump to work. Here is what I
have done so far. I have an Intel Etherexpress16 card which seems to
work fine. The PSEUDO-DEVICE BPFILTER 1 line has been compiled into
the kernel. When I run the tcpdump program I get:
tcpdump: ix0: Device not configured
Also the tcpdump manpage seems to be missing!!! I re-installed the
manpages but it is still not there...
Question 2:
Can you suggest any good SNMP tools?
Qustion 3:
I am also haveing problems getting the PC speaker to play sounds with
nas or xanim. The device seems to work, I have catted .au files to
/dev/pcaudio and got a bunch of noise. I have also linked /dev/audio
to /dev/pcaudio. Nothing seems to work. I know I have some config
problems with nas, I am writing the author for help on setting it up,
but xanim should work. It works at home with a SB16 card just fine.
Any ideas?
Marc
