If we want FreeBSD to be used, what we need to do, is make it work for 99% of the users the first time, if they can't get their PPP connection working, they'll just move on and find something different ... So I would suggest keeping Matt's change in there for now, as it appear to make it work for people, and then at the same time address the problem we seem to have with interrupt latency, when it's back to a acceptable level, then we can revert this change. In the end it's about what's most important, having a perfect system which might not work properly, og having a system with known "non-optimal" tweaks, which actually works ...
