I recently installed 4.6 on a P4 1.5 GHz eMachine, and it worked quite
well. I did, however, get a compiler error when upgrading to -stable.
Resuming the build worked, though. After moving to -stable with
gcc-2.95.4, everything has been great. I have XFree86 working with GNOME
2.0, and haven't noticed any other problems.

I assume the P4 mobile will work just as well.
