Compile a new kernel if possible and add the following line in the controllers section.. I added mine just before all the other SCSI controlers listed. controller wds0 at isa? port 0x350 bio irq 15 drq 6 vector wdsintr Of course the port io address, irq and drq depends on your card jumper settings. If you are unable to compile your own kernel and need a boot floppy maybe I or some other kind soul can compile and create a boot floppy image with wds0 support. -----Original Message----- From: Gary McFarland <gary@netassociates.com> To: Gary McFarland <gary@netassociates.com>; 'freebsd-questions@freebsd.org' <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG>; 'Cowan Bowman' <cowan@mirageport.com> Date: Tuesday, February 17, 1998 10:40 AM Subject: RE: SCSI Controller >How would I go about adding the wds0 to the generic Kernel? > >---------- >From: Cowan Bowman >Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 1998 12:50 AM >To: Gary McFarland; 'freebsd-questions@freebsd.org' >Subject: Re: SCSI Controller > >-----Original Message----- >From: Gary McFarland <gary@netassociates.com> >To: 'freebsd-questions@freebsd.org' <freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG> >Date: Monday, February 16, 1998 10:05 PM >Subject: SCSI Controller > > >>I'm trying to get one more use out of my old Western Digital WD700 SCSI >Card. >>I'm trying to do the floppy-boot install, And the WD7000 is not listed in >the Initial >>Device list.
