A question of understanding: Is it the policy that all NIS users
being maintained there rather than in /etc/master.passwd?

I was used (formerly on Sun and Ultrix) that the /etc/passwd of the
NIS master was being used to maintain NIS/yp users.

Now it seems to me that /var/yp is the central base or am I in error?
