Well, I was hoping to get the vm86 'thunk' stuff nailed down today, but no luck. If I start the vm86daemon kernel process from userland, it works OK, but starting it as a kernel process appears to have a subtle effect that stops it from working. I will be out of town from Tuesday morning until about the 25th or so, and mail connectivity is likely to be patchy (anyone know a good ISP in the London, Ont. area?) during that time. I hope to have some luck chasing the problem, but no guarantees. If someone wants to pursue the matter, I would be more than happy to provide diffs and sample code/functions to demonstrate the current problem, as well as being very grateful. If so, please mail me direct & let me know. mike
