Ulrich,
It isn't clear what your setup is.  Does the headless FreeBSD machine
(i.e., the one you've installed boot0sio on) have a traditional serial
port?  Or is this the machine you are using a USB-serial port adapter
on?  Or is the USB-serial port adapter what you are using on your
desktop machine that you are using to access the headless FreeBSD system?
