Is 'probe-scsi-all' the litmus test for bootability? The 2940 for that Ultra was a 2940UW/OF. Adaptec put out one driver for it for 2.6, and never updated it. It's the last Adaptec I'll ever buy, Sparc, Intel or PowerPC.
