Any other > differences in configuration? In hindsight, three: New disk, fresh snapshot of -current and an upgrade to the latest u-boot. The old boot device was a 128 GB Samsung microSD that had gotten slow and full. The new disk is a 1 TB Seagate Barracuda with a JMicron USB-SATA bridge. That somewhat obscures the actual cause........ Thanks for reading! bob prohaska
