hit "scroll-lock" to freeze the screen and enter scroll-back 
mode. The use page up/down or the arrow keys to scroll.
when finished, hit "scroll-lock" to unfreeze an dreturn to the bottom.

I'm interested to know if you think this is better or worse, or just
"different".
