I tryed to read what I was able to find on the Net, but it seems to me that my problem is new. I use IDE disks with a removable media connetted to the AHA-2940AU board. It used to work with Linux kernels 2.0.30 and 2.1.40. I tryed also other experimental kernel (2.1.53, 2.1.57) and now the new 2.0.31, but with them, it doesn't get recognised at boot time. I enclose the information I can find inside /proc/... when I use the kernel 2.0.30. I will appreciate any information. saluti/regards/gruesse, daniele giacomini - Treviso, Italy ----------- Adaptec AIC7xxx driver version: 4.0/3.2/4.0 Compile Options: AIC7XXX_RESET_DELAY : 15 AIC7XXX_TWIN_SUPPORT : Enabled AIC7XXX_TAGGED_QUEUEING: Disabled AIC7XXX_PAGE_ENABLE : Disabled AIC7XXX_PROC_STATS : Disabled Adapter Configuration: SCSI Adapter: AHA-2940A Ultra (AIC-785x chipset) Host Bus: Single Base IO: 0x6000 IRQ: 12 SCBs: Used 2, HW 3, Page 3 Interrupts: 2062 Serial EEPROM: True Extended Translation: Disabled SCSI Bus Reset: Enabled Ultra SCSI: Disabled Target Disconnect: Disabled --192-1851410517-877351527=:1607--
