Including apm in the kernel build fixes the problem where on (some?) Pentium class CPUs the timekeeping gets hosed because there is something weird happening with the TSC that makes it unusable for keeping time. The problem manifests as some of the system time counting being too slow by a factor of 32. Of course it never occurred to me that removing apm from the kernel (since it's not a laptop) would have this undesirable side effect. Therefore I place a warning notice so others won't fall into the same trap. -- Adam David To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
