If you name them in the description, mtree(8) will happily check regular files as well. Indeed, the reason why I implemented the `md5sum' option a year ago was with the hope that someone (i.e., Jordan) would take the hint and add the appropriate mtree commands to the distribution builds so that we can have a published reference for what the MD5s of all the distributed files are supposed to be. -GAWollman -- Garrett A.
