Well I found my problem I did not setup the name properly in my ppp.linkup .

Now I cannot get my gateway to operate. I can ping the FreeBSD computer
from my mac but when I try to ping outside my network it does not open a
connection.

after a reboot I type natd -interface ed1 and ppp -auto -alias isp.

Is there something that I'm missing?
