What about updating whole > jail when base system was updated (mergemaster, etc)? Use the right tool for the right task, i.e. freebsd-update inside the jail to do mergemaster the modern way. For updating software in the jails, either run portmaster -a or have identical packages mounted into all jails using nullfs and update them from the host system. Regards, erdgeist
