Yes, I was working on it a little while back.  From recollection, 
there's not much changed in this file between 1.x and 3.x; you might be 
able to get the old patches to go in OK.  

There are some other build bogons that I have reported to Willows; I'm 
optomistic that they've been fixed recently, but not sure.
